Since 1971 Insulation Materials Corporation has excelled in our chosen endeavor; to fulfill our customer’s requirements for thermal insulation and related accessories.

During much of the twentieth century energy – specifically oil – was cheap and plentiful. This all changed in the mid 1970’s during the first oil embargo. With less oil at our disposal, methods of conserving this resource became increasingly significant. Thermal insulation was a simple, effective, and efficient way to reduce energy usage and at the same time reduce operating costs.

Even though we are now in a new century, the reasons for insulating are still relevant. However the business of supplying insulation has not been static. Ever changing market conditions require both innovation and expertise. IMC’s human resources are as extensive as our material inventory. Within our ranks are older more experienced employees lending their knowledge and abilities to our younger employees.

From our first single facility to our current network of facilities we have never lost sight of our single-minded pursuit of excellence within the insulation industry.

IMC distributes for some of the largest manufacturers in the world of insulation. Including but not limited to, O.C., Armstrong, Dow, Manville, Proto, Pitt Corning, etc.

In addition to distributing for these manufacturers, IMC also fabricates a variety of products in shops at two of our facilities. With the addition to our fabrication shops, our product offering now includes insulations for cryogenic applications (-100°F and lower) through light duty refractory (+2300°F).
